Well, this explains why my car is suddenly much louder. I love that the instructions for muffler replacement I found online had steps 1-4 as detailed instructions for getting the car jacked up. Step 5 was essentially clean and lubiricate the bolts to be removed. Step 6 was “remove muffler”, and step 7 reveres the process with the new muffler. Totally not bothering to go to a shop for this repair.
